Required from January 2020
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Prep Supervisor to join our school from January 2020. Based in the School Library, the successful candidate will be overseeing the day to day running of prep sessions (homework/supervised study) for all pupils which runs from 4.15 - 6.00 pm daily during term time. The job holder will relate appropriately to children. A calm, gentle approach is essential, together with patience and a sense of humour. The post requires good communication skills, the ability to prioritise, discretion and the ability to work independently. Basic computer skills would be an advantage. An interest and enjoyment of books is desirable, whilst a knowledge of library processes would be useful. Experience of working in a school environment or with young people would be an advantage. Appropriate training will be given.
The hours of work will be 3.45 - 6.15 pm Monday to Friday, during term time only and may be required to attend Inset days. There may be an opportunity to work additional hours to cover Breakfast Club from 7.30 – 8.00 am Monday to Friday during term time.
