The college is keen to appoint a department manager for our specialist animal care department.
Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire spread across two main campuses providing education to approximately 1500 students. The College received a “Good” Ofsted judgement in November of 2016 and we are committed to becoming an “outstanding” provider. We are ambitious, and as part of our next phase of our journey we want to grow and development our animal care provision.
We are currently reviewing the whole College Strategy as part of our merger with Stephenson College and therefore this is a great time to join our team, where you can influence and lead on the development of the future strategy for this area of our business. As part of this journey, the college has invested in new facilities and upgraded environments for all our students and staff and is committed to a programme of further continuous improvement.
As a Programme Area Manager, you will be required to manage teams and individual staff members, providing leadership, management and support. You will be responsible for the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of high quality FE and HE curriculum programmes, plus a range of industry related short courses. You will be fully aware of the changes in the sector and have a proactive approach to increasing the success of the department. You will be highly motivated, passionate about teaching and learning with the skill and determination to drive change and improvements that ensure our learners are “First choice” for employers and/or Universities.
