Progress Coach
£23,620 per annum pro rata for part-time
These are key roles to ensure our learners success, and you will be working closely with our curriculum managers and teaching staff as the learners’ advocate. Providing pastoral support and mentoring to a case load of students via group and 121 review sessions you will identify and support them to overcome barriers to achievement whilst helping them develop their wider social and employability skills to help prepare learners for their future careers. Responding promptly where barriers to learning are identified, referring so they can gain the relevant support where required, and monitoring their progress and altering actions to ensure success.
You will be able to demonstrate experience and/or hold a level 3 qualification in youth work, teaching, training or a related discipline and be prepared to complete our internally accredited tutor training programme. A knowledge of safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults would be desirable or a willingness to undertake this crucial training.
This is a team role, and you will be an effective team member taking responsibility for decision making as required, able to communicate with a range of stakeholders, with effective interpersonal skills showing sensitivity and leadership within appropriate boundaries and guidelines. As you would imagine, you will also need excellent time management skills in managing your caseload.
You will be required to work across two campuses which are both based in the centre of Swindon.
Although the roles are required to be on-site, we can offer a level of flexibility through job share, term time working, part-time working over 5 days and outside of this, we would be willing to have a conversation about your requirements.
