Salary Band: £30,479 - £32,736
Part time - 3.5 days per week
48 days holiday (incl Bank Holidays) pro-rata
Newbury College is currently offering an opportunity to for a motivated, engaging individual who is able to lead our Children’s Development & Learning Foundation Degree, run in partnership with Reading University on a part time, permanent basis.
To join our team as a Lecturer in Children’s Development and Learning, you will be a committed tutor, with the ability to collaborate with a strong and supportive team of colleagues. You will have knowledge, experience and understanding of the 0-11 years curricular, hold a Certificate in Education/PGCE and a related qualification at degree level. A proven ability to work with to HE standards and build effective partnerships with a range of employers is essential. Strong administrative skills and knowledge of using a VLE will further enhance your application.
The role includes planning and curriculum development, in liaison with the University of Reading. This role also requires pastoral and tutorial responsibilities in addition, to visiting work place settings and liaising with employers and student mentors.
By taking on this role you will be required to teach, co-ordinate with the Programme director for this Foundation Degree. You will be required to assess and maintain Quality Assurance procedures for both Newbury College and the University of Reading.
