We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team based in York. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for a fast-paced role within a small friendly finance team.
You will assist with the efficient running of the finance department primarily performing purchase ledger duties. You will provide an approachable and helpful point of contact for suppliers.
Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will cover a range of core purchase ledger activities.
With excellent numerical, organisational skills and attention to detail you will process all purchase invoices and credit notes, matching to purchase orders as appropriate. You will also process weekly payment runs, open new supplier accounts, reconcile supplier statement reconciliations and resolve all supplier queries.
With experience in a previous purchase ledger role you will need good communication skills and be confident working with suppliers with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads.
Proficient in Microsoft office and with excellent IT skills you will also be confident working independently and accurately, often meeting tight deadlines.
