The college wishes to employ a Reprographics and Library Assistant which is a varied and interesting role working as part of two busy functional areas.
The Reprographics department is located at Pibwrlwyd Campus. The main purpose will be to provide a bulk photocopying service to staff on all Campuses, ensuring that particular staff requirements are correctly assessed and accurately fulfilled in a timely manner. The department produces over six million copies per year on the two high capacity monochrome and one colour copier with the work ranging from general monochrome photocopying to producing a variety of posters, leaflets and folded booklets on the colour copier. This requires working to tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
There are Libraries located at four of the college’s five campuses offering a wide variety of both physical and electronic resources. They provide a service to full and part-time students who are following a variety of further and higher education courses. The library assistant will be expected to help with aspects of the local management of the Campus Library to provide an efficient service for all staff, learners and visitors. The role is very varied and will include supervision of learners who are working in the library, undertaking work concerned with the provision and maintenance of learning materials and IT applications, assisting with the provision of an enquiry service to include the use of electronic information sources along with other library related tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required along with an eye for detail and meticulous administrative skills.
