The school is eager to appoint an ICT Network Manager to a full-time post (37hrs / 52 weeks) at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf (although applicants who would wish a term time only contract would also be welcomed). The post would start as soon as possible and be a permanent contract.
This post is suited to a candidate with the required qualifications and with prior experience or as a post more suited to an enthusiastic and committed candidate who is willing to access further training and support in order to develop into a more strategic leader of ITC within the school community.
The school is facing an extremely exciting period, following an extensive investment in both network, devices, and IT resources recently. The IT resources have benefited from this development and investment as we look forward to this developing further as it remains a clear and focussed school priority for the years ahead. This investment will continue over the next period as Ysgol Glantaf responds to the national and LA challenge to create a dynamic, innovative, and technological learning community which supports our children and young people and develops our teaching staff.
This investment has been secured partially through firm partnership work with the local authority, which forms a critical part of our vision for the future, which supports learners across the capital city. You will be working closely with the LA education team, feeding insights and securing support through the latest training opportunities in order to support the wellbeing and progress of youngsters within our school.
The IT Department is a busy department supporting every aspect of the schools’ use of ICT and related technologies. One of your key responsibilities will be to further develop our capacity and potential within the wider city network and national hwb platform to develop the finest support within ITC to our pupils and providing basic training as required by teaching and support staff.
The successful applicant will enjoy the support of a close knit and effective team of staff. S/He will work closely with the Head of IT / Digital Competency as well as an effective team of admin support staff at the school.
