Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join our Safeguarding team in Cambridge. You will join us on a full time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £26,225 - £27,954 per annum.

The role will be based in Cambridge campus in The Hub, working alongside the wider Student Support Services teams to provide a student centric service to students. You will be responsible for managing the inbox for safeguarding and child protection referrals on the colleges system from staff and taking the appropriate action to safeguard students in line with the Colleges statutory duty. Knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE 2019) is essential. You will report to the Safeguarding Manager and will work alongside them to also deliver training to the wider college staff teams to ensure that the college keeps safeguarding at the heart of everything they do.
The right candidate will have recent experience of working in a similar role in social work, youth and community work, advice and guidance or education. Experience of managing a safeguarding case load is desirable. The ability to be self-motivated and organised is essential as the right candidate will need to be able to prioritise their own workload responding to the most urgent referrals to ensure that the College is compliant in child protection procedures.
The successful candidate will be supported through access to supervision and be provided ongoing training and development to assist them in their role.
