Status: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Average 39 Hours per week on a 5 week shift rota (Days, Evenings, Nights)
Salary: Incremental Scale £20,074 (A21) to £20,899 (A24) per annum
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to be part of our dedicated Safeguarding team based on the main campus . You will play a major part in ensuring that we achieve our accommodation aim of ensuring a safe and secure environment which facilitates academic recruitment and retention, whilst developing learners in their personal, social and life skills.
You will find no two shifts are the same as you create an environment where students take responsibility for their behaviour and ensure that they have the variety of support necessary for them to fulfil their potential. A responsible figure, you will develop a good rapport with students and ensure that security and safeguarding is maintained on campus at all times whilst demonstrating a positive, energetic and flexible approach to work.
You should be a calm and effective communicator with a sound understanding of issues affecting young people that can impact on their future. You should be I.T. literate with the ability to use tablets/electronic equipment effectively and produce subsequent reports to support OFSTED and Care Standards requirements.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
