Following an internal promotion, Sheiling School Thornbury has an opening for a full time, enthusiastic and committed Senior Learning Support Assistant (SLSA) due to the growth and development of the school.

NVQ or equivalent relevant qualification essential
Mainstream and Waldorf qualifications both considered
Experience of working with pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour essential
Salary £18,507.16 to £20,075.57 PA
37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4.30pm
6.6 weeks paid holiday which include bank holidays,
39.4 weeks worked

The Sheiling School in Thornbury, South Glos is a residential Camphill (Rudolf Steiner) School for children with learning difficulties aged 6 to 19 and is part of Thornleigh Camphill Communities. Our beautiful grounds on the edge of the town encompass several residential houses for children and adults, a school building, indoor and outdoor craft workshops and a swimming pool. Adjacent is our farm, which provides organic produce for the community.
