An opportunity has arisen to join a developing team of forward thinking staff in the Engineering department at Darlington College. Your role as a Senior Engineering lecturer may involve teaching on the following programmes;
EAL qualifications at level one and two, BTEC Diplomas at level two and three, HNC Engineering and HND Engineering and also a number of new L3 Apprenticeship Standards. We specialise in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Manufacturing routes.
Your timetable will planned to compliment your industrial background and subject specialisms. We have a wide range of provision, however these specific role require Electrical and Manufacturing specialisms.
Your role will involve teaching a range of learners including part time adults learners, apprentices and full time students, you will have the opportunity to shape the provision to suit the needs of employers and learners. You will be involved in moderation and standardisation exercises and programme leadership duties. If you are committed to providing a high quality teaching and learning experience, then this is the role for you.
A desirable candidate would have experience teaching level 3 and higher engineering provision higher education,and with apprentices is also preferred.
