Cathays High School is seeking three full-time, enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistants to become part of our highly successful Inclusion and Wellbeing Team in our multi-cultural high school, close to Cardiff city centre.
You will be expected to work under the guidance of our Head of Pupil Inclusion to undertake a range of activities to enable access to learning for pupils through improved behaviour and attendance. This will involve promoting good behaviour, recording absenteeism and taking appropriate action, recording and dealing with lateness. Alongside a team of IWB leaders you will be expected to contribute to attendance processes, including home visits.
The person appointed must be able to communicate well with young people by acting in a restorative, calm manner. It will be essential that communication with parents and pupils is clear and precise.
