Sessional Laboratory Technician
Hourly rate: £11.50ph (includes payment for holiday and administration)
Hours: Three days a week, 9:00am – 17:00pm
We are seeking to appoint a Sessional Laboratory Technician to join our friendly and professional team.
Based in the Science area of our Caring Services department this exciting post involves:
•Providing Lecturers with support for the day to day running of courses
•Maintaining Health and Safety, Stock and COSHH in the Science Laboratory
•Assisting staff and students with practical science activities
•Supporting staff in planning and preparation of lessons and equipment
This post would suit an individual who has achieved their own Science qualification (ideally at Level 3 or above) or who has a vocational Science background, and some prior knowledge or experience within Further Education. Candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated with excellent communication skills, and with a committed approach to your work you will maintain a high quality learning environment for our learners.
Successful candidates will join our “bank” of hourly paid staff and will be allocated work on a flexible basis.
