Social Media & Communications Officer
College location: This is a College Group role that is predominantly based at John Ruskin College (Croydon) but with travel to East Surrey College (Redhill)
Salary: £23,376 - £26,289 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Social Media & Communications Officer to join our College Group Marketing department.
In this exciting role you will work closely with the Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager and the rest of the team in support of the ongoing development and execution of the College Strategic Statement and Marketing Strategy.
You will drive engagement increasing Orbital South Colleges’ brand presence within the local resident, school and business communities. You will be responsible for writing and updating copy for use on the College Website Content Management Systems, social media platforms and offline materials; measuring and reporting on campaign outcomes.
You will assist the team delivering student, school and employer events and product launches. You will in turn gain case studies for circulation to share the success of our student body.
This role will also involve you providing ongoing analysis of social trends, monitoring all social media communications daily to ensure timely responses as well as the planning, execution and analysis of our social media campaigns across all College social media channels.
The successful candidate must have:
•Excellent use of the English language, across written and verbal communication
•Proven experience in a Digital Marketing role, working on websites and social media campaigns
•A full UK Driving license and willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes
•Experience of evaluating and reporting on social media traffic
•A self-motivated attitude with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
