An enthusiastic and motivated individual is required to work as part of the intervention and support staff team within the Bridge Alternative Provision.
Mainstream schools refer pupils to this team for intensive work around behaviour modification and interventions to address specific behavioural, emotional and social needs of pupils at all key stages.
The main responsibilities of this post are to provide in class support to enable the pupil to fully partake in the curriculum and to follow prescribed intervention programmes under the guidance of teaching staff. You will also be required to adapt resources to match pupil need and ability. There would be a requirement to prepare classrooms and assist with the display of work also.
With training, there will be a requirement to support the personal, social and emotional needs of pupils, including their mental and physical health, their hygiene (if required) their welfare and other needs.
