The University Centre at Salford City College seeks to appoint a Student Support Officer to provide pastoral support for our students and raise their achievement levels. You will work closely with the HE & Access team to deliver an outstanding learning experience to students HE, Access and Professional courses. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the key areas of academic development, delivering tutorials, monitoring attendance, tracking progress and providing pastoral support where needed as well as monitoring and following up on attendance.
The role involves working closely with a variety of different students, across all our of Colleges, studying up to Honours Degree level. With strong interpersonal and organisational skills, you will be experienced in providing support to higher level students and have the ability to motivate and inspire.
The ideal candidate should be qualified to at least degree standard or equivalent, and have experience in areas such as first aid and safeguarding.
