We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner who, under the guidance of the Director of Humanities, will lead religious studies across all key stages at Wellsway School. Applications are welcomed from both current postholders and ambitious teachers with a proven track record of success and the desire to be an outstanding leader. This role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape the provision of religious studies in our school, whilst benefitting from working with practitioners across the trust to share best practice and resources.
You will need to be committed to our vision of becoming an outstanding school and to supporting the humanities team to deliver consistently high standards for students of all abilities. Responsibilities will include monitoring and evaluating student progress and leading the development of teaching, learning and assessment across the key stages. As a leader in our school, you will work with postholders from other curriculum areas in developing and improving teaching and learning and will be responsible for ensuring that every student enjoys an excellent experience across their religious studies lessons.
If you are a highly effective teacher, able to form excellent educational relationships with students and staff and are confident at leading on the development of challenging and engaging schemes of learning, we would love to hear from you. The ability to teach religious studies to GCSE and A Level is essential and the ability to teach another subject is an advantage.
