The East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) John Jamieson School is a 2-19 generic special school with 264 pupils on roll. The East SILC is a complex organisation which operates on a variety of sites including our new expansion sites to provide a range of outreach services across the city, including partnerships with primary, secondary and further education providers, the city-wide Physical Difficulties and Medical Service as well as the Medical Needs Teaching Service for Leeds.

An opportunity has arisen for Level 1 Teaching Assistants to join our bank of Casual Supply staff to work at the East SILC, at any of our sites or partnership settings, as and when required, sometimes on short notice.
The majority of our pupils have learning difficulties, and some have physical difficulties. We require a skilled, enthusiastic person who is willing to learn, support teaching and learning and address the personal needs of our pupils. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, a good communicator, cheerful, calm and be able to work as part of our team and travel to various sites if required.
This position is on a cover supply basis.
