Supported Learning Assistant
Salary: £18,552 to £19,695 per annum, pro rata for part time, term time based contracts
Hours: up to 20.25 hours per week, 38 working weeks per year
Contract Type: fixed term contracts until 3 July 2020
We are currently looking for part-time Supported Learning Assistants on a temporary basis to provide 1:1 as well as classroom support.
The post-holders will be working as part of an excellent team of Supported Learning Assistants (SLAs) to provide additional learning support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LDD), using a flexible and innovative approach in a range of contexts.
The role involves working with students who experience a range of barriers to achievement and the post-holders will support learners in a variety of curriculum activities and settings. This will include supporting students with intimate care where necessary. SLAs may work with individuals or small groups, as directed by the teaching staff and encourage students to engage with activities or work independently, where appropriate.
The work is term-time based over 38 weeks per year. We are looking for assistants to cover the following days:
1) 3 days per week (20.25 hours): Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday or
2) 2 days per week (13.5 hours): Wednesday and Thursday
