Full-time, temporary Teacher of Art (to cover maternity leave)
We wish to appoint a full-time, temporary teacher of art, for at least one term, from April 2021. The successful candidate will teach all ages and abilities from Year 7 to Year 13.
St. Joseph’s is committed to embedding the new curriculum in Wales, and our Creative Arts AoLE is at the forefront of this innovation in our setting, bringing together our provision for art, music and drama. This post would be an exciting opportunity for a candidate wanting to gain additional experience in teaching art across key stages 3, 4 and 5 in a blended and innovative faculty.
At Key Stage 4, students study for the BTEC Level 2 First Award, which includes a focus on Art movements, the theme of 'Music' and 'Organic Forms'.
In the Sixth Form, students study for the BTEC Level 3 QCF diploma. This comprises four units requiring internal and external assessment.
