Royal Russell is an HMC/IAPS co-educational school with over 1000 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18, situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills near Croydon. We have over 150 boarding students in the Senior School and are proud of our wonderful day and boarding facilities that rank amongst the best in the South of England. The Economics and Business Department offer a range of courses at GCSE, A Level and BTEC. Business GCSE is a popular option subject, running in at least three out of the four option blocks each year. In the Sixth Form we offer Edexcel Business A level and BTEC Diploma courses with great success together with Economics A Level. Many of our students go on to study a Business or Economics related degree course at university.
You will be enthusiastic and energetic in your approach and have a deep-rooted knowledge of Economics or Business at A Level and BTEC Business enabling you to build upon the successes already enjoyed by the department. Our ideal candidate will have a strong university degree in an Economics or a Business-related subject, the ability to communicate with pupils as well as being an inspirational and forward-thinking practitioner. The Economics and Business department consists of a strong team of 7 teachers who teach across disciplines and qualifications.
