A vacancy has arisen for an early career or experienced Teacher of ICT at this highly successful school in the picturesque riverside market town of Evesham, which is located on the edge of the Cotswolds within approximately 30 minutes of Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford, and an hour from Birmingham.
We require a well-qualified teacher of ICT, who is committed to the highest standards of academic achievement and behaviour and will genuinely enjoy working with teenagers of all abilities. The successful candidate will be able to offer Computer Science and/or iMedia to at least Key Stage 4. The ability to offer one or both of these subjects to Key Stage 5 would be advantageous. This post is part-time (0.8) to full-time, for a fixed term period from January – August 2022, although there may be the opportunity for the position to be made permanent for the right candidate.
This post provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a high-performing department with supportive & caring colleagues, as well as the option to be involved in a wide range of STEM and other extra-curricular activities. As part of a recently-completed eight-year £8m capital investment programme, our IT Department has benefited from a refurbishment and modernisation programme, meaning that a range of vocational and traditional courses, using up to date technology and industry standard software, are taught in light and airy classrooms. The school has 12 computer rooms, including two specialist Apple Media suites.
Prince Henry’s is a popular and over-subscribed 13-18 High School with approximately 1,300 on roll including more than 330 in one of Worcestershire’s largest Sixth Forms. The school enjoys an excellent reputation locally, and has consistently been judged outstanding by Ofsted, most recently in May 2013. Two Ofsted Survey inspections undertaken during 2014 looking at provision for the most able students, and also for alternative curriculum provision both praised the school’s ethos and its ability to deliver excellent teaching and learning to students of all abilities.
Having been a National Teaching School since 2014, Prince Henry’s became a Teaching School Hub in September 2021. The school has also been training new entrants to the teaching profession as part of its SCITT since September 2017.
Potential applicants are welcome to telephone Martin Brant, Acting Head of ICT to discuss this post or to arrange to visit the school if they wish.
