The Governors are looking to appoint a well-qualified and talented individual to teach in our Humanities Department.
This post is an exciting one. The successful candidate will be responsible for the teaching of the Humanities and Welsh Baccalaureate curriculum along with the extra-curricular opportunities offered by the departments.
Candidates for this post should be able to demonstrate:
• ability and success in the teaching of Humanities and Welsh Baccalaureate.
• innovative but effective approaches to teaching Humanities and Welsh Baccalaureate across the age and ability range
Treorchy Comprehensive School is embarking on an exciting chapter and is a ‘6th Form Centre of excellence’ for the Upper Rhondda valley. Some brand new state of the art accommodation has been built and further refurbishment is taking place, increasing the number of classrooms in the school and enhancing the existing high quality teaching and learning environment.
The School is situated at the head of the Rhondda Valley within easy access of the Brecon Beacons National Park, 40 minutes travelling distance from Swansea and 40 minutes from Cardiff and the South Wales coast.
