Full Time Teacher of IT, with a central role in developing the new ‘Digital production, design and development T Level’
Salary £23,488-£37,370 Pay award pending(Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who wishes to teach the brand new Digital T Level and contribute to aspects of our IT provision, which includes Level 2 and 3 Vocational IT and ‘A’ Level Computer Science. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a modern, forward thinking, IT professional to join our successful College and help shape the new T Level qualifications. In addition, depending on skills and experience, the successful applicant could contribute to other qualifications taught at the College.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop their passion for IT within a supportive and rapidly developing area. You’ll have a real commitment to teaching IT and an understanding of what makes learning engaging. You’ll also be excited about promoting IT courses to employers, parents and prospective students.
The postholder will be expected to:
• Teach to a high standard, and develop the relevant skills to teach truly outstanding provision
• Work with the STEAM Faculty and with enrichment staff to create provision that excites and stimulates demand
• Unusually we are appointing before the T level course starts in September 2020. If you are appointed, initially much of your time would be involved in actively promoting T Levels at internal and external events to prepare and grow the provision prior to launch.
Candidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. The postholder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
Candidates should possess either proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both). Ideally you will hold a teaching qualification, or be committed to obtain a suitable qualification once in post.
