Cobham Free School is an independently run, publicly funded school, which opened in September 2012 with its first infant cohort and has now grown to admit pupils up to - and including - Year 13 across the all-through school.
The school is popular, consistently oversubscribed and has just entered an exciting new chapter in its development, our Senior Department having moved to our superb new premises in the heart of Cobham, joined by pupils in our upper Junior Department (KS2) and all departments increasing in pupil size. Our friendly Sixth Form continues to expand.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Latin and Classical Civilisation to join our team.
All pupils at CFS study Latin from Year 7 through to Year 9 as well as studying a modern language. At GCSE level, pupils take the Eduqas GCSE Combination A, Classical Civilisation is an equally popular GCSE option subject. In addition we began teaching A Level Classical Civilisation in September 2022.
We would welcome applications from those part time role, however further hours may be available for those able to teach a second subject.
The successful candidate will be part of a growing, small supportive team, part of a larger community of teaching and non teaching staff, all known to each other, due to our relatively small size and collaborative working culture.
