The maths department consists of a well-established and supportive team who have built a strong culture of students engagement and success. The department is a strength of the school and takes a lead in assessment practices.
The team have a set of dedicated rooms for each teacher, as well as a faculty resource room and office. All maths classrooms are equipped with electronic whiteboards and visualisers as we want to support the use of technology in the teaching and learning process. As a department ,we’ve adopted much of the teaching and learning practices advocated by Craig Barton and we use Hegarty Maths with all students. All the members of the department are supportive of one another and the ethos is very much about developing our team members teaching and learning skills. Please read our information pack for more details.
