We are seeking an outstanding Teacher (full or part time) to cover maternity absence from February 2021, expected to be a year.
Hinchley Wood School is an inclusive and high achieving school on the borders of SW London, celebrating student progress and development as well as academic achievement. The successful candidates will teach across the age and ability range in this oversubscribed co-educational academy, with over 1,400 students on roll including 290 in our 6th form. PRE is a very popular option at both KS4 and KS5. We currently teach around 75 students at KS4 and around 55 at KS5 and our commitment to academic excellence is at the forefront of our teaching and delivery. In 2020 100% of students sitting PRE GCSE achieved 9-4, with 17% of those students achieving grade 9. At A level 88% of students achieved A*-C in Philosophy with 73% achieving A*-B grades. Following on from these results, a number of students went on to study Philosophy at university.
