We have an opening for an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher to join our highly successful team at FutureSkills in MediaCityUK delivering Professional Construction. We are looking to appoint either a qualified teacher or an industry expert who is looking to gain a teaching qualification.
FutureSkills is the highly successful Centre of Excellence for Creative and Digital provision. The College is located in MediaCityUK and is a member of the SCC Group.
We pride ourselves on delivering the best teaching and learning possible, with the underlying values to give all students great opportunities and ultimately receive the best quality education whilst studying with us, in the very best facilities.
The successful applicant will be required to teach Level 3 Construction & the Built Environment courses (Both RQF & QCF) across a wide range of subjects. Within this post you will assess 16-18 learners on the BTEC Level 3 Foundation & Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.
It is essential for candidates to possess expertise in a variety of subjects and have an excellent understanding of the sector, teaching and assessment. It would be advantageous to have experience teaching on BTEC Level 3 and Level 4 Construction, specifically the Construction and Built Environment pathway.
It is preferable that applicants have a related degree and a teaching qualification although we will consider candidates who can demonstrate significant Industry experience and ability to teach content and assess effectively.
We also require applicants to have:
• Relevant industry experience in the Civil sector
• A good network of industry professionals.
• Be able to undertake subjects across all of the Level 3 curriculum, both theory based and digital topics
• The ability to utilize new technologies in teaching and learning

Taking Teaching Further Initiative (TTF)
We welcome applications from Industry candidates who are looking to obtain a teaching qualification. The appointed person would participate in the TTF programme and work towards their PGCE / CertEd. The benefits include; Peer and specialist mentoring, acquisition of a teaching qualification with teaching remission to support the candidate.
