NOR: 1418, including 323 in sixth form

The Team
Our staff are well qualified, talented and dedicated professionals. Our teachers are specialists in their subject areas and are supported by a senior leadership team, which consists of the Principal, two Vice Principals and five Assistant Principals (including SENDco). Each faculty area has a Director of Learning and Associate Heads of Faculty for English, Mathematics and Science.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a passionate and innovative specialist teacher who is proactive in continually developing their practice. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and NQT’s and a full support programme is offered.
The successful candidate will join a very supportive and committed team, teaching across the age and ability range, with the possibility of teaching some A level. The ability to teach English as a second subject would be advantageous.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate:
• Appropriate experience of teaching classes across the age and ability range
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents and staff in a range of formats
• Good listening skills, able to relate well to young people
• The ability to motivate and build good relationships with young people with effective and positive behaviour management skills.
• A well organised approach in planning and delivery
• Familiarity with A Level Psychology and/or Sociology Courses
• A wider knowledge of current educational issues
