Teaching Assistants - High Oaks
Start Date: ASAP or January 2022
Pay Scale: Hounslow Pay Scale 5, Point 11 to 15.
Actual Salary: £18,519 - £19,890 per annum
Hours of work: 31.25 hours per week (8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday).
Contract Type: Permanent, term time only.
Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state of the art facilities for our students.
Due to our rapid and continued expansion, we are looking to appoint highly experienced teaching assistants to work in our Secondary School. You will have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment with children with disabilities. You must be competent with using Makaton signing and symbols for communication and essentially have experience of working with students with autism and complex needs.
