TEMPORARY TEACHING ASSISTANT FOR A NAMED PUPIL
15 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year
9:00am to 12:20pm (includes an unpaid 20 minute break)
Salary: Grade E – Points 17-19 (21,968-£22,777 full time equivalent)
Actual Salary: £7,447
Kingsbury Green Academy, judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in every category when inspected in April 2022, is part of the successful Ascend Learning Trust. We are an ambitious, forward thinking 11-18 years Academy situated in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Calne in Wiltshire.
We are looking to appoint an effective, caring, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and supportive Team who are passionate about ensuring that all children have the best learning opportunities. You would be working with a named pupil on a 1:1 basis. This would include supporting the pupil in class, delivering any relevant intervention sessions and ensuring the pupil has access to the curriculum at the appropriate level.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children with special educational needs.
- Is patient and understanding when working with children.
- Is able to motivate and inspire children.
- Will work well as part of a team.
- Is flexible, motivated and able to adapt to a variety of different needs.
This will be a temporary appointment to support a named pupil that will end when the pupil leaves school or the support is no longer needed.
