Nether Hall School is a very effective, well-resourced special school for pupils aged 4-19 years who have severe & profound learning difficulties.
The school is seeking to appoint 1 x Level 3 Teaching Assistant working 13.15 hours per week for 39 weeks (school term time + 2 training days).
Salary: LG Band 5, Points 11 – 14, £22,183 - £24,491 pro-rata.
Actual starting salary, point 11: Less than 5 yrs service with the Local Authority £7,247 (30.53% FTE);
More than 5 yrs service £7,400 (31.21% FTE).
We are looking for a caring, experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join our team and be a proactive integrated member of the School Staff Team. You will work in a class group, to help support pupils to fully access all aspects of the curriculum. As part of your role you will, under the direction of a teacher, support in the learning process and utilise your skills to assist the teacher to create an educational environment in which a pupil's all-round development is achieved in accordance with their EHCP and the School Development Plan that all children realise their potential.
The successful candidate will have a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths as detailed in the job specification.
Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
