Wotton House International School Gloucestershire is recruiting a Teaching Head of School with a Science and Technology specialism.
We are looking for an inspirational and dynamic optimist to join us and lead our team at this exciting and crucial time in the school’s development.
Wotton House is a small, nurturing and forward-thinking IB World School located at two beautiful campuses in Gloucestershire in the UK. The School opened in 2016 and has recently been accredited by the IB to teach the Middle Years Programme to 11-16 year olds.
Our approach is to combine the latest in technology with a strong emphasis on outdoor education. The four pillars of our approach are: Wholistic education, International education, Sustainability and Creativity.
The Head will support the Directors in all aspects of the School’s operation. More specifically s/he will take responsibility for teaching, learning and curriculum development as well as for leading cross-school professional development and community-building initiatives. S/he will provide strategic leadership, inspiration and innovation in order to meet the school’s mission.
In addition to their teaching role, the Head will support the Directors in the following areas:
●Teaching and Learning
●Curriculum Development, Articulation and Implementation
●Accreditation/Evaluation (IB, Ofsted etc)
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of successful delivery, preferably within the IB framework. Experience within a new or growing school would be incredibly beneficial, as would experience in a similar position in international education and/or in the IB’s programmes.
Candidates will ideally hold a formal teaching qualification and full EU working rights. We are looking for expertise ideally in the areas of Science and Technology.
Salary- £30-40k plus equity for the right candidate
