The Team Leader based at Southall and Ealing Green campuses, will work to improve Learning Support Assistant (LSA) skills, retention and the quality of the support team. We are working to upskill and retain LSAs to improve continuity and excellence in learning support.
The Team Leader role will contribute to create a ‘fit for purpose’ management structure that will be best placed to deliver high quality care and education to Inclusive Learning students. This includes developing the SEND Preparation for Adulthood agenda that has significant requirements on EHCP outcomes for employment, health, care and independent living. It reflects the need to improve LSA CPD and performance, monitoring of the quality of support and the high level of accountability that this provision has with local authorities, parents/carers, Ofsted and other partners.
You will be responsible for coordinating the Inclusive Learning learner support provision. You
will ensure that all learners needs are identified and they are supported to achieve their
aspirations, while ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing needs are met within the Inclusive
• Demonstrable and successful experience of line managing Learning/Health and Social Care Support Staff to meet all the needs of students with SEND, achieving PFA and EHCP Outcomes.
• Experience of inducting permanent and agency support staff as well as co-ordinating and delivery of CPD and Appraisals.
• Demonstrable experience of assessing, advising and co-ordinating support for students with SEND.
• Experience of supporting the medical needs of learners including leading on the systems and procedures for storing and administration of medicine
