Salary: £18,354 - £20,055 pro rata

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for monitoring the animal welfare and ensuring all animal enclosures are well maintained and kept to optimum conditions. You will provide help, advise and assist students during their training and whilst carrying out practical activities or assist other lecturers in a classroom as part of a curriculum programme. Responsibilities will also include maintaining the resources within the Animal centre to ensure they are fit for purpose to meet the Curriculum need and for monitoring stock control and ordering resources to meet the curriculum need. You will need to work on a flexible basis for an average of 18.5 hours per week usually between 8.30am – 5pm however you may be requested to work evenings to monitor the Animal Care Centre for College Marketing events to promote the Provision and support student engagement.
The Post will include some weekend and Bank Holiday work to provide 365 day care within the Animal centre.
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with Colleagues, Students and Stakeholders both internally and externally.
