An exciting opportunity has arisen at Derby College Group for a Trainer/Assessor to join our academy of Professional Education Training and Development at the Roundhouse.
The postholder will be responsible for continuing to enhance the high performing apprenticeship provision of Supporting Teaching and Learning apprentices, with some assessing on the Standalone qualifications where necessary. You will be ready to inspire trainee teaching assistants and act as a role model.
This unique position offers the possibility to employ effective Teaching, Learning and Assessment methods to support the development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours through Off the Job Training. This includes the outgoing apprenticeship level 2 Framework and the Level 3 Standards with the embedded Level 3 Certificate. Applicants will be required to assess across different educational settings within Derby and Derbyshire.
This post is open to qualified or trainee assessors, having gained valuable experience in an appropriate role or work-based training context. The possibility to progress into an Internal Quality Assurance role or achieve an IQA qualification is typical of the role.
Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role. Experience of using OneFile to support progress of apprentices is desirable.
