St Paul’s Catholic School, A Voluntary Academy
Vice Principal: Teaching and Learning
Vice Principal: Data -Monitoring, Evaluation and Review
Paid at Leadership Scale L19 to L23 (£63,975 - £70,556) per annum
Our school is a special place. With Christ at heart of everything we do, the St Paul’s
experience is far more than “going to school”; it is the development of an academic, spiritual, cultural, social and moral core that shapes the entire life of each one of our
young people. It is education – in its truest sense.
St Paul’s is a Catholic family community whose focus is on supporting the development
of young people in terms of their confidence, their learning, their moral and social duty, and their responsibilities as citizens of the 21st Century world we live in.
As a founder member of the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (CMAT),
St Paul’s benefits from a wide range of support from the CMAT central team including but not limited to School Improvement, Lay Chaplaincy, HR, Finance and Business
Services. In addition, our staff enjoy membership of a wide range of CMAT networks offering support, development and career enhancement.
As a result of retirement and promotion, St Paul’s is looking to appoint two Vice
Principals. Working with the Principal and existing members of the SLT, the appointed people will lead, hone and develop current systems of monitoring and evaluation of data and the student experience in the classroom.
We are interested in applicants who have a track record of impact in previous
leadership, and who are strategic thinkers with a clear and principled vision in leading others. As a practising and committed Catholic educator, such an applicant will hold a deeply personal commitment to the excellent and broad secondary provision that serves our diverse community.
This is a reserved post which means that applicants must be practising Catholics.
Please consult the document produced by the Diocese of Nottingham ‘Catholic Schools and the Definition of a Practising Catholic’ for further information.
We are proud of our commitment and investment in staff development and the
appointed people can expect an induction programme suited to their needs and continuing professional development as their career progresses including the opportunity to work collaboratively across our regional multi-academy trust.
If you are interested in finding out more about these roles – or other opportunities at
this level in our secondary schools – please contact the trust HR team.
Closing date for completed applications is 10am Monday 16th December 2019
Interviews will be held in January 2020
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young
