St Brendan’s Catholic Sixth Form College is situated in the south of Bristol in an exceptional modern campus setting. We provide post-16 education in a sixth form environment underpinned by our Christian values and ideals while welcoming students from all religious and non-religious backgrounds. We aim to serve the Catholic and wider community by providing Sixth Form education of the highest quality and to act in the spirit of the Gospel believing that every person is loved by God and has a unique value. As part of our Catholic ethos we believe in respect for all individuals. We welcome staff from diverse backgrounds, traditions and faiths including those from under-represented groups and minorities.
We are looking for confident native language speakers to volunteer to work with our modern foreign language students to help cultivate their linguistic competence and confidence. In particular we are looking for Spanish and French speakers already in the Bristol or Bath areas.
This voluntary work is occasional and unpaid but in return you will have the opportunity to gain some valuable work related experience for your CV and perhaps even improve your own spoken English language skills. If you are interested and are able to commit to being available for the duration of a College term - or longer - please apply using our online application form.
As an unpaid volunteer we would still need to conduct an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check on you before you can be cleared to work with our students.
