Salary: A pro rata of £19,829 to £22,248 per annum
Berkshire College of Agriculture is seeking to appoint an Animal Education Centre Technician to help develop the College’s expanding licensed Animal Education Centre. You will be responsible for the daily husbandry of the Domestics section, which includes sheep, goats, pigs, poultry and alpacas, at weekends and bank holidays.

ANIMAL EDUCATION CENTRE WEEKEND/BANK HOLIDAY TECHNICIAN – Part-time, Permanent, All Year Around
The key responsibilities of the role are developing and maintaining the highest standards of husbandry and animal welfare as well as the direct supervision of students during their practical sessions and skills development.
As an AEC technician you will be expected to have proven knowledge and experience of working with a range of species and experience of working with young people. You must have a forward thinking and progressive approach to animal welfare, training and enrichment.
An important element of the role is ensuring that the student experience is both positive and rewarding. To meet this aim it is essential the post holder has a clear commitment to providing high quality support to our learners as well as demonstrating exceptional standards of animal welfare.
Please note that we are looking for a technician to cover the weekends and the bank holidays across the year.
