Application Process

Applying for a vacancy

If you would like to apply for any of our vacancies, you can

  • Apply online by clicking on apply now button at the bottom of the vacancy
  • Download an application form and return it to: Human Resources Department, Bridgend College, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend , CF31 3DF
  • Email: recruitment@bridgend.ac.uk to request an application pack, please quote the job title and job reference number.

All applicants must complete the College application form which is available in other formats, including welsh if requested. 

Short listing

Following the closing date all applications forms are sent to the Head of School/Functional Area Manager for short listing.  All candidates will be assessed against the agreed selection criteria.  Candidates who meet the criteria will be invited to attend an interview.

References

All posts are subject to satisfactory references and these will be requested once the successful candidate has been offered the post.  Two references are requested using a standard reference request form.

Offer of Employment

The HR team will prepare and issue the offer letter and statement of terms and conditions to the new appointee, together with other relevant documents e.g. pension details, staff handbook and supplementary information sheet. 

The HR team will also send written confirmation to unsuccessful candidates.
