Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment. As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lead Administrator of Apprenticeships.

The key responsibilities of the Administrator of Apprenticeships will include delivering high-quality administrative services and supervising business operations. Priorities involve maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date administrative processes, serving as the main point of contact for students and staff, and providing accurate information on apprenticeships and professional courses. Addressing and resolving customer issues, reporting on apprenticeship activities, contributing to internal reports, and offering direct administrative support to colleagues are integral aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and the ability to develop strong, positive working relationships with individuals at all levels. They will have experience of working in an administrative position and hold excellent administrative skills. The candidate will also behold strong organisational skills and have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing well.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative and beautiful land-based environment.

In order to be considered for the position, an application form must be completed. CVs will not be accepted. For further details and to apply, please visit the job vacancies section on the Capel Manor College website.

Please note that the College does not have a sponsorship licence. We are therefore unable to consider applicants who do not have the right to work in the UK.

We reserve the right to close a position once sufficient suitable applications have been received to form a short list. Early application is therefore encouraged.

What’s in it for you?

We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including generous annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme (Teacher’s Pension Scheme for Lecturing roles and Local Government Pension Scheme for Support roles), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Manor Gardens.
