As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.

Are you an experienced golf course greenkeeper or do you have experience working as a sports grounds person? Would like to use your skills and knowledge to help shape the future of the industry? If so, this could be the role for you.

Capel Manor College has an exciting opportunity for a Golf Greenkeeper/Sports Turf Trainer & Assessor to join our apprenticeship team.

You will be responsible for mentoring, coaching and assessing Golf Greenkeeper/Sports Turf apprentices. You will prepare and deliver workshops, including the preparation of learning materials, conduct workplace visits and reviews and write progress reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for greenkeeping and sports turf maintenance, be enthusiastic to share this with others and they will have the ability to inspire apprentices of all abilities. Ideally they will have contacts within the industry and a willingness to develop new apprenticeship opportunities amongst employers and help us realise our ambitious plans to become the leading provider of this programme nationwide.
