Welcome to Coastland College

Coastland College is a General Further Education College spread across two campuses – one situated on the stunning Jurassic coastline in Weymouth and the other on a beautiful 18th Century Estate near the market town of Dorchester. As a newly merged organisation, we’re bringing together the best of both Weymouth College and Kingston Maurward College and together we are stronger, more connected, and more ambitious than ever. Ofsted Good!

HR_Graphics-02.jpg
In our first Ofsted inspection as a merged organisation in May 2025, we received a ‘Good’ rating in all 8 categories, along with the incredible result of making a “strong contribution to meeting skills needs”. Inspectors praised leaders, managers, governors and staff in “working swiftly to establish a collaborative culture that firmly places learners at the forefront of every decision they make”. Not only that, but we were also recognised for “helping learners and apprentices with their well-being and developing their confidence and resilience”.

We are proud to say that this is just the start of an exciting journey ahead. We are serious about positioning the College and our students for the future. We are Coastland.
