We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MIS Officer to join our Team.

The Senior MIS Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of learner data and funding-related submissions across the College. The post holder will work closely with the MIS team to support data compliance with funding regulations, generate detailed reports, and prepare error‐free data returns for external agencies. In addition, this role involves providing leadership and training within the MIS function to ensure that the College’s data systems support its strategic and operational objectives and are fully audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day administration of learner data within the College’s main student records system.

• Lead on data compliance activities, ensuring all funding claims and submissions are both maximised and accurate.

• Collaborate with the MIS Director to review and refine data processes, guaranteeing the quality and integrity of information submitted to external agencies.

• Prepare timely, error‐free data returns and produce regular funding reports to track academic income and other key performance indicators.

• Act as a super-user for the student records system (e.g. ProSolution and 4CAST), providing technical expertise and support to colleagues across both College sites.

• Develop and deliver training sessions for College staff to enhance understanding and effective use of the data systems and software tools.

• Conduct regular audits and quality checks of learner data, implementing robust procedures for data cleansing, transfers, and withdrawals.

• Support the College’s business planning processes by ensuring that curriculum changes and academic designs are accurately reflected in the data systems.

• Liaise with academic and administrative staff to increase awareness of the importance of accurate data recording and reporting.

• Deputise for the MIS Director as required to ensure continuity of service during critical periods.

About You

  • Significant experience in Management Information Systems (MIS) is essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly within Microsoft Office applications, with a strong foundation in SQL and database management.
  • High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting, with the ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data mining, mapping, and automation processes.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively, manage conflicting deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive attitude towards professional development and continuous improvement of MIS services.
