About the Role

Join our creative and forward-thinking Media team as a Lecturer in Film and Television. You will play a key role in teaching across our Creative Media provision, delivering high-quality learning and assessment in a college setting at intermediate to advanced levels, with opportunities to contribute to Higher Education provision where appropriate. This is an exciting opportunity for industry experts who are interested in passing on their knowledge and skills, as well as experienced educators who wish to inspire the next generation of film and television practitioners. You will contribute to curriculum development, quality enhancement, and student success within a supportive and collaborative environment, and help grow stakeholder engagement through new and existing industry relationships.

About you

  • A proven ability to deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective teaching that supports students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their full potential
  • Current subject knowledge and technical confidence in film and television-related software and equipment
  • Valuable stakeholder contacts and established industry links, which would be particularly beneficial to learners by enhancing their educational experience and supporting their progression into further study or employment
  • A student-centred approach to learning, assessment, and pastoral support
  • Experience contributing meaningfully to curriculum planning, course coordination, assessment, and continuous quality improvement
  • Confidence in working collaboratively with colleagues
  • The ability to support recruitment and induction activities
  • A commitment to maintaining high academic and professional standards across the curriculum area
  • A strong commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the learning environment
  • A commitment to gain a relevant teacher training qualification
