About the Role
Morley College London is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to serve as the ultimate Technical Authority for our core IT systems. This is a high-impact position for an engineer who excels at moving beyond basic maintenance to drive true operational excellence. You will act as the final escalation point for complex technical challenges, ensuring that the College’s infrastructure remains secure, resilient, and adaptive in a modern, multi-site environment.
We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys "proving" the reliability of our systems through hands-on failure testing and disaster recovery drills. You will have the autonomy to identify and resolve technical debt, automate repetitive tasks via scripting, and fine-tune monitoring tools to improve service visibility. This role is ideal for a specialist with deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Enterprise Virtualization who wants to lead technical projects that directly enhance the digital experience for our staff and students.
Beyond technical mastery, you will be a guardian of the College’s security posture and documentation standards. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, managing key vendor relationships and translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible communication. This is a opportunity for an engineer who wants to own the integrity of an environment while committed to continuous professional growth.
