NUC is the university centre within Newham College. Studying in this environment provides you with a special educational experience.
Instead of sharing lectures with 200 students or more, you will never share a lecture with more than 60 other students and also be taught in small seminar groups. We value small group sizes with plenty of contact between students and lecturers and the high levels of support this provides. Our lecturers are highly qualified experts in their fields and provide excellent teaching and learning.

What courses does NUC offer?
NUC runs its higher education programmes in collaboration with what are called ‘partner universities’. Newham College’s main university partner is The Open University (OU). Newham College has institutional approval from the OU, which means that it is approved by The Open University as an appropriate organisation to offer higher education programmes leading to Open University validated awards. We offer a range of undergraduate courses including degrees in Business and Management, Counselling, Psychology and Social Studies.
NUC also works with Canterbury Christ Church University in the delivery of the Diploma in Education and Training (DET) with the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) pathway and Cambridge English for the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
