Thorpe CofE Primary School is set in the beautiful, historic village of Thorpe in Surrey between Egham, Virginia Water and Chertsey. We are a friendly and inclusive school and are ...
At Thorpe Church of England Primary School we offer each child a safe, caring environment where they thrive socially and academically. We are an inclusive school and work hard to ensure each child enjoys their learning and blossoms as a result of their time with us.
During the spring term 2019 we had a visit from Ofsted who inspected our school and judged us to be “Good” in each of the five components of the inspection: effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, outcomes for pupils and early years provision.
At our most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) we were judged "Good".
Our achievements have been made possible by the dedication of our staff and governors who work tirelessly to support children to be the best they can.
Through regular reflection, we are aware of what we do well and quickly identify and address any area requiring development so that each child progresses well and achieves to the best of their ability.
Thorpe Church of England Primary School lies in the heart of Thorpe village. The school has extensive grounds with a swimming pool. The school aims to know and treat each child as an individual in a secure and caring environment. The school has close links with the local church and a Christian ethos underlies all its work.
The school was delighted to receive a “Good” Ofsted report in January 2019 which may be viewed at www.ofsted.gov.uk. A "Good" judgement was received at our latest Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (S.I.A.S.) available at www.natsoc.org.uk. We are an inclusive school and work hard to ensure each child enjoys their learning and blossoms as a result of their time with us.
There is an lively parents' association supporting the school and parents are encouraged to develop an active partnership in their child's education.
