Mark Bolton
CEO & Principal
Yeovil College has been serving the community in and around Yeovil for more than 130 years.
The College was first formed in 1887 when Somerset County Council began formally organising Science and Art classes in Yeovil. In 1947, the first Principal was appointed to lead Yeovil Technical College and when secondary education in the Yeovil Borough was reorganised in 1974, Yeovil College became one of the early tertiary colleges to be formed in England.
Today, Yeovil College remains passionate about its role as a key provider of education and training in South Somerset and North and West Dorset. It remains committed to its role as a tertiary college for the whole community.
Yeovil College is an essential part of the Yeovil (and beyond) community, and has been for over 130 years. Working in partnership with local businesses, industry and schools alike, we drive teaching and learning to the highest possible standard.
Yeovil College is an incredible place to work. In our most recent Staff Satisfaction Survey over 97% of current staff stated that they were treated with respect by their colleagues and line managers and that they enjoy the work they do.
We are a vibrant forward thinking College, with a clear and simple vision - maximising potential for our learners. If you have this same uncompromising ambition to help people develop themselves, no matter where they started from, then we would love to see an application from you.
We display the 'double tick' logo because we have signed up to the Positive about Disabled People scheme.
this means that if you have a disability which we are made aware of and you meet the essential requirements for any role which you have applied for we guarantee you will be invited to attend and interview for that role.
We can only make this provision if you make us aware that you have a disability and ask that you simply add a sentence at the end of your personal statement to bring this to our attention.
