This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working at the heart of decision-making, influencing strategy and delivering value across a diverse and ambitious organisation.
You will turn insight into impact, shaping how the College invests, grows and delivers. From costing curriculum programmes, apprenticeships and new activity to building robust models that stand up to funding scrutiny, your analysis will drive confident, informed decisions. Partnering closely with curriculum teams and MIS, you will challenge assumptions, strengthen financial viability and influence curriculum planning. You will also take a commercial lead, improve the performance of the College’s outlets and uncovering new opportunities to grow income. Alongside this, you will steer the financial planning and control of major projects from bid to delivery, overseeing forecasting, grant claims, capital spend, procurement and project accounting. With involvement in flagship initiatives such as the campus Big Build, plus responsibility for fixed assets, management accounts support and audits, your work will be central to delivering excellent service and advancing the College’s strategic ambitions. What we're looking for:
• Proven experience in the production of management accounts.
• Knowledge of preparing financial plans, forecasts and cash flow management.
• CIMA / ACCA qualified or part qualified
• Ability to work, influence and motivate at all levels of the organisation.
• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills shown through your ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
